This is a single trek which is mixture of exploit and religion. This trek consists of two treks one small one day trek to “Bharmani devi temple” and another three days trek to “Manimahesh Lake”. 1st day we will trek to Bharmani devi temple and back to Bharmour. 2nd day we will begin the trekking from “Bharmour to Manimahesh Lake”. Manimahesh Lake is situated at the bottom of Chamba Kailash or Mount Kailash which is at a elevation of 5775 m. The Chamba Kailash is a epicenter of religion of the region and is famous to be as ‘home of lord Shiva’.
This place offer a religious approval to the pilgrimage to Mani Mahesh, therefore even called as “Man ka Mahesh”. Best time to visit Manimahesh Lake
The most excellent time to visit Manimahesh Lake “Mid- June to Mid- October”. Till July, there are high probability that trekkers will spot snowstorm at high pass. But by the end of August, the amount of snow significantly reduces. As the months go on, one might practice rainfall towards “Kullu-Manali” valley but at the high passes, Spiti, the climate leftovers sunny. By Air : The closest airport is at Gaggal in Kangra which is 230 km away from Bharmour but Jammu and Amritsar Airports are also feasible.
By Train : The closeest Railway Station is Pathankot Cantt railway station which was also called as Chakki bank earlier (Punjab).
By Road : Manimahesh is easily accessible by taxis and buses to Bharmour, then by local taxis to Hadsar except last 13 km which can be enclosed by foot only.
